Oncology

Cancer is a disease characterized by the deterioration of the function of the organs or system, which is the result of uncontrolled cell proliferation. Considering this aspect, it shows differences in diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. For this reason, oncology patients are treated by multidisciplinary approach by many specialties. The patients diagnosed early with the development of monitoring techniques get healthy by targeted combined therapies with the protocols of medical oncology and radiation oncology after appropriate surgical treatment. Nowadays, there is a high rate of success in the treatment of cancer, which ranks first among the scientific researches.

Approximately 15 million people in the world are getting cancer every year. Depending on the rate of increase in cancer, it is predicted that 20 million new people will be diagnosed with cancer in the next 10 years. Although cancer is nowadays in the group of treatable diseases, it is a health problem that should be evaluated with a common point of view where many branches coexist from the moment of diagnosis.

As Volo, we implement innovative therapies, which are planned by the oncology council and are tailored to individual patients in our JCI accredited hospitals.
